Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Portland, OR is seeking a Med Tech/QA Manager to administer and document prescribed medications under physician orders and the Wellness Director, following state regulations.

The role requires precise MAR handling, compassionate resident care, and adherence to care plans. Shifts include 2pm–10pm on Sundays through Thursdays or Tuesdays through Saturdays, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.
• Must have medication administration experience and good record.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed medications per MAR.
• Order meds from the pharmacy to ensure availability.
• Document after administration with date and initials.
• Observe and report adverse reactions to licensed staff.
• Take vital signs prior to medications as directed by physician.
• Report medication errors immediately.
• Assist with care plan development with other disciplines.
• Respect resident privacy and dignity.
• Ensure safety and comfort of residents.
• Assist with daily care tasks as needed.
