Job summary

MorningStar of Boise is hiring a Med Tech to administer and document prescribed medications under the Wellness Director’s direction in a senior living setting.

We offer comprehensive benefits, require state-approved Medication Administration training, First Aid certification, and prefer 3+ years in senior living. Shifts include AM, PM, and NOC with a focus on compassionate resident care and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience administering medication in assisted living or memory care.
• Must be able to read and write English and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed medications per physician orders.
• Order meds from pharmacy 7 days before running out and ensure delivery; notify if late.
• Document medications after administration with date and initials.
• Observe and report adverse reactions to meds to licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs before meds that affect vitals.
• Report medication errors immediately.
• Assist in care plan development with other disciplines.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity and comfort.
