Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Portland, OR is seeking a Med Tech to administer and document medications per physician orders under the Wellness Director's direction. The role emphasizes compassionate care, accurate five rights, and timely medication administration within a supportive team.

You will learn residents’ medication preferences, observe for reactions, record vital signs when required, and assist with daily living activities while upholding privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have state-approved Medication Administration training.
• First Aid certification as required by ALF regulations.
• QMAP in CO state.
• Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and follow written and oral directions.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed medications per MAR and physician orders.
• Order meds 7 days prior to running out and ensure delivery; notify if delays occur.
• Document medications after administration; date and initial bubble pack.
• Observe and report meds reactions or side effects to licensed nurses.
• Take vital signs prior to meds that could affect readings as ordered.
