Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) who is a Clinical Nursing Student to support Med Surg patients on the West Hospital unit. You will work under the supervision of an RN, perform basic patient care, document vital signs, and assist with mobility and daily living activities.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a nursing program, have completed one clinical nursing course and rotation, and demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS/GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program with one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation completed.
• Basic patient care and documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist with basic patient care including vital signs, hygiene, mobility.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Provide high level customer service to patients and families.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Participate in hand-off reports and shift changes.
• Escalate concerns through chain of command.
