Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nursing Student working as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Orthopedic Unit at West Hospital. The role provides clinical experience under RN guidance, with direct patient care and delegated responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the nursing team, patient safety, and adherence to care protocols. Required: HS/GED and enrollment in a nursing program, with clinical rotation experience; BLS preferred.

Formación

• HS/GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program with at least one clinical course and one clinical rotation.
• EPIC EHR training (preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Under direction of the RN, supports the nurse in applying the nursing process.
• Develops critical thinking skills through collaboration with the RN to ensure quality patient care delivery.
• Provides basic patient care including hygiene, vital signs, mobility, and comfort.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers high level customer service to patients, families, and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
• Participates in patient data collection and hand-off reports.
