Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nursing Student to join the Med Surg Unit at West Hospital, providing direct patient care under RN supervision and gaining clinical experience through job shadowing and delegated care.

The role requires enrollment in a nursing program with one clinical nursing course and rotation completed; strong communication, direction-following, and safety awareness are essential. EPIC EHR training is preferred; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• HS/GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program and has completed one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops critical thinking skills through collaboration with the RN to ensure quality patient care.
• Provides basic patient care including vital signs, personal care, mobility and comfort.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Performs accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
