Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certified Health Unit Coordinator (NAHUC) preferred.
  • Administrative support experience 1–2 years required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to proofread/edit documents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical support to unit-based and hospital-wide clinicians and staff.
  • Greet patients, families, visitors, and coworkers professionally.
  • Enter admissions, discharges, and transfers into the EMR accurately to support patient throughput.
  • Schedule consultations, tests, procedures, and patient transport.
  • Coordinate with ancillary departments to obtain equipment and services; track status.
  • Assist manager with payroll duties or scheduling of staff as needed.
