Brookwood Baptist Health in Alabaster, AL is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead shift operations on a Medical/Surgical unit. You will ensure high-quality care, optimize patient flow, and partner with nursing leadership to drive safety, quality, and staff development.

The role requires coordinating with supervisors and care coordinators, managing staffing, and supporting front-line teams to deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• At least 1 year of RN experience; acute care preferred.
• Current RN license in Alabama or through the NLC.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certification in area of expertise; preferred.
• May require ACLS, PALS, NRP or TNCC depending on population.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure delivery of high-quality care and patient experience.
• Coordinate patient flow with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners.
• Monitor patients, including seriously ill individuals, and manage staff assignments.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, policies, and standards of practice.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff and foster collaboration.
• Participate in safety huddles and lead quality improvement efforts.
