Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager to lead shift operations, coordinate patient flow, and support a skilled nursing team in delivering high-quality care. The CANM will work with nursing operations leadership to ensure patient care, customer experience, and outcomes align with hospital standards.

The role requires BSN preferred and RN licensure (FL or NLC) with strong leadership and clinical expertise to manage staffing, equipment, and compliance

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Florida or through Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Exemplar of the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health.
• Participates in shared leadership structure.
• Manages staffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts, based on patient acuity and skill set of team members to ensure patient care needs are met.
• Coordinates patient flow with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes.
• Monitors overall status of patients and provides care for seriously ill patients.
• Coordinates/delivers patient care in line with physician orders and policies.
• Supports frontline staff and providers as appropriate.
• Leads safety huddles and promotes change and problem solving.
• Assesses equipment needs to ensure staff can provide care.
• Supports leader-driven initiatives and retention strategies.
• Maintains regulatory ready environment of care.
