You will guide a skilled team, collaborate with Nursing Operations leadership, and focus on patient experience, safety, and adherence to policy.

The CANM role emphasizes coordinating care, staffing, and clinical leadership in a setting with complex needs and a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse; ER Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages staffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts based on patient acuity and skill set of team members to ensure patient care needs are met.
• Coordinates patient flow by working with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes.
• Monitors patient status and ensures compliance with orders, policies and standards of practice.
• Interfaces with patients and families to enhance customer experience through nurse leader rounds and issue resolution.
• Leads safety huddles and promotes change and problem solving.
