Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead shift operations and ensure delivery of high-quality care in a 595-bed acute-care setting in Birmingham, Alabama. The CANM will manage staffing, patient flow, and collaboration with supervisors, care coordinators, and discharge planners to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 1 year as an RN; acute care setting preferred
• Current RN licensure in Alabama or NLC required
• Current BLS certification required
• Certifications in area of expertise preferred (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC)

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure high-quality care and patient flow.
• Coordinate patient care by collaborating with supervisors, care coordinators, and discharge planners.
• Monitor status of patients, including seriously ill patients, and ensure adherence to physician orders and policies.
• Support frontline staff and providers, promoting safe and effective patient care.
• Participate in safety huddles and lead initiatives to improve quality and outcomes.
