Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager to lead shift operations and ensure delivery of high-quality care, exceptional patient experience, and efficient patient flow.

The CANM partners with Nursing Operations leadership to guide staffing, patient care assignments, and clinical standards, while fostering collaboration and professional development among frontline nurses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse; ER Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplar of the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health.
• Manages staffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts, based on patient acuity and skill set of team members to ensure patient care needs are met.
• Coordinates patient flow by working directly with the Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes.
• Monitors overall status of patients within area of responsibility and closely monitors status of seriously ill patients.
• Interfaces with patients and families to enhance customer experience by conducting Nurse Leader rounds and addressing concerns.
