Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for Med Surg to lead patient-centered care and coordinate unit operations across shifts.

The CNC directs nursing care in collaboration with the management team, supports staff development, and drives initiatives to improve throughput and outcomes, while maintaining adherence to policies and the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) required.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operates nursing strategies (employee rounding, hourly rounds) to improve engagement.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
