Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Clinical RN Coordinator Med Surg to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit activities across shifts.

You will partner with the management team to direct nursing care, improve throughput, manage staff scheduling, and support staff development while upholding the hospital's mission and values.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license is required.
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with management to monitor and improve nursing care quality.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to foster teamwork and better patient outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Help implement nursing strategies and staff engagement initiatives (hourly rounds, etc.).
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, training, and staff development; participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and equipment management.
