Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center, LLC in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Medical-Surgical Nursing Assistant (Certified or Non-Certified) to provide basic patient care on the 4th Acute Unit with heart monitoring. Night shifts are 12 hours, 7pm–7am, and this is a full-time position offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

The role emphasizes observing patients, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe environment while assisting with ADLs, mobility, and vital signs under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate or within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient's condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN.
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe.
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital

We are seeking a Medical-Surgical Nursing Assistant (Certified or Non-Certified), also referred to as a Med-Surg Tele PCU Nursing Assistant. The Med-Surg/Tele/PCU Nursing Assistant provides basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role in observing patients, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment to promote recovery.

Responsibilities
