Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate or within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate, required.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assist patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care.
• Provide ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Monitor vital signs: BP, HR, Temp, RR, SpO2.
• Assist with mobility and use of assistive devices.
• Maintain telemetry monitors and promptly alert nurses to alarms.
• Observe patients for changes and notify nursing staff.

We are seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry CNA, also referred to as a Med-Surg Tele CNA. The Med-Surg/Telemetry CNA assist nurses by providing basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role in observing patients, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment to promote recovery.

Responsibilities

• We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Med-Surg/Telemetry team. U nder RN supervision, you will assist patients with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe environment.
• Basic patient care: help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• Vital signs monitoring: take and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation
• Mobility assistance : help patients get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices.
• EKG lead maintenance: e nsure telemetry monitors (heart monitors) are properly connected and functioning — though Certified Nursing Assistant’s (CN A ’s) don't usually interpret heart rhythms, they might recognize when alarms go off and immediately alert registered nurses
• Observation: monitor patients for any physical changes (shortness of breath, chest pain, altered mental status) and quickly notifying the nursing staff
