Job summary
Unitek Learning is seeking a Full-Time Medical-Surgical BSN Nursing Instructor to join our Workforce Development partnership in Fresno. The instructor will provide clinical site, skills and simulation education, coordinating with the assigned program site and ensuring alignment with curriculum.
The role requires a California RN license, CA BRN instructor eligibility, and a Master’s degree or BSN with Master’s enrollment.
Qualifications
- Current California RN license in good standing.
- Eligible for CA BRN Instructor approval for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
- Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration; or BSN with Master’s enrollment.
- Minimum four years’ RN clinical experience, with recent practice.
- One year of nursing education experience preferred.
- Expertise in Mental Health, Med-Surg, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, Community Health or Critical Care.
Responsibilities
- Provide education in skills lab and clinical settings per established curriculum.
- Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned facilities.
- Evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate attendance and skill check-off records; assist with data collection.
- Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
- Observe, instruct, and evaluate students using optimal teaching methods.
- Incorporate online activities to supplement course content.
- Submit program reports to Academic Site Director in a timely manner.
- Stay current with innovative technologies and safety regulations.
