Job summary

Unitek Learning in Fresno seeks a BSN Nursing Instructor to support the Workforce Solutions program with Community Health Systems. You will deliver clinical and skills-lab education to students, with hours that vary by rotation and lab needs.

The role requires a California BRN license, potential CA BRN instructor approval in key nursing areas, and a Master’s degree (or BSN with Master’s enrollment). Four years RN experience with recent clinical practice is expected.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered California BRN license.
• Eligible for CA BRN Instructor approval for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Minimum four years’ RN experience with recent patient care.
• Clinical teaching experience preferred; nursing education coursework helpful.
• Expertise in Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, Community Health or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and skills lab education aligned with the curriculum.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against learning outcomes and document results.
• Maintain accurate attendance, skill check-offs, and program data records.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs and observe students effectively.
• Incorporate online activities to enhance course content and teaching strategies.
• Submit program reports to the Academic Site Director in a timely fashion.
• Stay current with safety regulations and innovative technologies.

Education

Master’s degree in nursing or related field

Completed BSN and enrolled in Master’s program
