Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician for the Byhalia, MS facility. You will repair and maintain material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians as you grow in your role.

Starting pay is shown with base rate plus shift differentials. Amazon offers Day 1 healthcare, 401(k) matching, and parental leave; safety gear like safety shoes is provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience or Amazon apprenticeship program
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
• 2+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics
• 2+ years troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on MHE
• Maintain positive working relationships across Amazon Operations facilities
• Move up to 49 lbs and work shifts up to 12 hours, including climbing ladders as needed
