Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in Nashville, TN. You will repair and maintain material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, and you may install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians.

You will promote safety, perform preventative maintenance with proper documentation, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues across MHE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
