Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role includes installing and servicing automated packaging and distribution equipment, with mentoring opportunities for junior technicians.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Certification from Amazon Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years in automated conveyor systems and controls.
2+ years of preventive and predictive maintenance experience.
2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
2+ years of applying safety standards.
2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics for MHE.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe work environment by following safety procedures.
Complete preventative maintenance with proper documentation.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on MHE incl. belts, motors, sensors and relays.
Maintain positive working relationships across Amazon Operations facilities.
Ability to move up to 49 lbs, stand for up to 12 hours, climb safely, and perform bending and lifting.
