Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Technical Specialist, Mechatronics to lead closure electronics design requirements, validation, and production readiness for vehicle closure modules and interfaces.

You will drive cross-functional reviews, mentor engineers, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality, durability, and customer experience across doors, lifts, latches, sensors, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• 3+ years in engineering requirements, validation planning, design validation, DFMEA, and evidence-based issue resolution.
• 3+ years leading complex technical reviews with suppliers, internal teams, manufacturing, quality, and program stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive design requirements, validation strategy, supplier alignment, issue resolution, and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure closure systems meet Ford quality, durability, and customer expectations.
• Lead validation and verification activities across module interfaces and sub-systems.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
