Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a highly capable Core Architect to lead mechatronic feature definition from concept to sign-off. You will drive stakeholder elicitation, system architecture, and formal requirements development, coordinating with Modeling and Testing Engineers to deliver a fully realized system.

You’ll perform DFMEA and functional safety analyses, ensure traceability, and guide cross-functional teams through design reviews and gate reviews to achieve program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field as listed.
• 5+ years in systems engineering, architecture or mechatronics within automotive.
• Expertise in INCOSE/EARS, Concept of Operations and traceability.
• Strong functional safety DFMEA experience with cross-validation.
• Hands-on SysML and CATIA V6 modeling proficiency.
• Familiar with MATLAB/Simulink concepts for modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead intake and drive feature through gate reviews to assign ownership.
• Define operations, map stakeholders, elicit needs and establish MoE/MoP.
• Define system boundary, interfaces, architecture, and traceability.
• Lead system analyses: functional safety, DFMEA, cybersecurity as applicable.
• Formalize requirements with verification methods and traceability.
• Coordinate cross-validation and sign-off with Mechatronics team.
• Oversee prototype strategy and test plan development with engineers.
• Represent Core SE at reviews and DFMEA workshops.
