Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in automotive body, closure, door system
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Experience with power window, anti-pinch, express-up/down functions
• Experience taking components from concept through design release to production
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and design for manufacturing
• Ability to interpret CAD data, drawings and test results
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for cross-functional teams
• Ability to lead technical decisions in a fast-paced program

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for door modules, window regulators, and door glass
• Define component and system requirements, specs, guidelines and acceptance criteria
• Lead technical reviews of concepts, designs, drawings, GD&T and interfaces
• Guide supplier engineering activities and production readiness
• Lead root-cause investigations using structured problem solving
• Coordinate validation plans, tests, data review and approval of results
• Assess design risks and drive mitigation through DFMEA and tolerance analysis
• Support manufacturing with process reviews and launch activities
• Communicate risks, tradeoffs and decisions to program leadership
• Maintain technical documentation and configuration integrity
• Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices
