Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks an Application Engineer to lead mechatronics subsystem integration across vehicle programs. You will apply mathematical models and enterprise tools to real launches, bridging electronics, hardware, features, controls, and software for subsystems like closures, windows, seats, climate, or access.

You will collaborate with CVS, VHE, and D&R teams, align Agile with Waterfall schedules, and drive cross-functional execution to on-time delivery. Hybrid onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years' experience delivering products, systems, or features from conception to launch.
• 3 years' cross-functional teamwork across competing engineering domains.
• 3 years' experience in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Subsystem-Level Execution using core templates and engineering frameworks.
• Translate feature/system requests into synchronized mechanical, electrical, and software requirements.
• Develop Subsystem Boundary Diagrams, ICDs, and electrical block diagrams for assigned domain.
• Lead vehicle build issue triage and containment plans using data logs and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate Agile software sprints with traditional hardware timelines to ensure readiness.
• Maintain integration readiness and timely program milestone delivery.
