Job summary
Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA seeks a hands-on Hardware Development Engineer to lead the lifecycle of new mechatronic technologies for AMZL Delivery Stations. You will partner with Robotics, SW, Process, and Operations teams to drive automation initiatives and improve the customer experience.
The role requires 3+ years in mechanical engineering, prototyping experience, and strong English fluency. Strong background in design tools such as SolidWorks and Ansys is preferred.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with prototyping and implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading).
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end equipment technology development from ideation to on-site implementation.
- Write requirements, specifications, verification plans, and test procedures.
- Collect customer needs and feedback to propose improvements.
- Influence decisions with data from tests and validations.
- Define timelines and manage project budget.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and reporting.
- Collaborate with simulation teams to validate ideas and optimize workflows.
- Lead scalability discussions with engineering, vendors, and supply chain.
