Job summary

Amazon is offering a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) program in Louisiana where you’ll learn to merge electronics, mechanics, computation, and control on high-automation systems. You will be mentored by journeyworkers while helping install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment to keep operations safe and productive.

Qualifications

1+ years of PC software experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience.
High School Diploma.
Associate of Science, or 4+ years of military experience.
Knowledge of mathematics.
Experience measurement reading and interpretation.
Work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyors and related equipment.
Maintain and repair distribution center racking.
Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
Track and store department inventory, including spare parts.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment components.
Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
Assist in mentoring junior technicians by providing guidance and directions to help them develop their skill set.
Assist with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controllers troubleshooting.
