Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) to learn across electronic, mechanical, computer, and automation engineering. You will work with high-performance systems, perform diagnostic and repair tasks, and support safety-compliant operations.

During on-the-job learning you’ll be mentored by senior technicians and paired with journey workers at facilities with advanced robotics and MHE. You’ll relocate after training and cover shifts as required, including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher required.
• 1+ years of PC software experience including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Vocational/technical training or an associate degree or above, or 1+ years Amazon RME experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items.
• Knowledge of mathematics and measurement reading/interpretation.
• Willing to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using established plans and manuals.
• Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, and related components.
• Move up to 49lbs; stand/walk up to 12 hours; climb ladders; bend and reach as required.
