Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) in Bristol, IN. You will learn to combine electronic, mechanical, computer and automation engineering skills while working on high-performance manufacturing systems.

You will be mentored to grow, with focus on safety, installation, maintenance and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. The role emphasizes learning under journeyman technicians, performing maintenance, troubleshooting and ensuring high equipment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1+ years of PC software experience including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Vocational/technical training or an associate degree or above, or 1+ years of Amazon RME experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items.
• Knowledge of mathematics.
• Experience reading measurements and interpretation.
• Flexible schedules including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Flexible to relocate after program and enroll in 9-week training at designated training providers.
• Meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using job plans, procedures, and manuals.
• Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and bend, lift, stretch and reach as required.
