Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II for on-site work in Tewksbury/Andover, MA. You will design, develop, document and maintain complex mechanical test environments for RTX products, supporting production, field installations and testing.

Candidates should have a STEM background with CAD experience and hands‑on problem solving. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, at least two years of relevant experience, and proficiency with ProE/CREO Parametric.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or STEM field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD solid modeling tools, especially ProE/CREO Parametric.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems including electronic packaging, fixtures, automation, RF, thermal, hydraulic, vibration and electro‑optical for production testing environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
• Support onsite manufacturing builds.
• Troubleshoot mechanical fixtures and provide root cause corrective action analysis.
• Management and release of technical data packages.
