RTX's Test Solutions Center in Massachusetts is seeking a highly qualified mechanical engineer to design and develop test systems for production environments, including electronic packaging, fixtures, and automation. The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and hands‑on integration with manufacturing.

You will plan, validate, and optimize test setups, support onsite builds, troubleshoot fixtures, and manage technical data, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, or STEM.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric.
• Experience in mechanical engineering production support.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas to include: electronic packaging, mechanical fixtures, automation, radio frequency, thermal, hydraulic, vibration, and electro‑optical for production testing environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
• Support onsite manufacturing builds.
• Troubleshoot mechanical fixtures and provide root‑cause corrective action analysis.
• Management and release of technical data packages.
