Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II in the Test Solutions Center to design, develop, document, and maintain complex test environment systems for Raytheon products. The role is based on-site in Tewksbury/Andover, MA, with a focus on reliability and integration within production test environments.

You will work with CAD tools (CREO/ProE) and collaborate on mechanical packaging, fixtures, and subsystems. A DoD security clearance is required to start, with US citizenship and relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas to include electronic packaging, mechanical fixtures, automation, RF, thermal, hydraulic, vibration, and electro-optical for production testing environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
• Support onsite manufacturing builds.
• Troubleshoot mechanical fixtures and provide root cause corrective action analysis.
• Management and release of technical data packages.
