Job summary

RTX's Test Equipment Directorate in Tucson is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, document and maintain complex test environment systems for Raytheon products.

You will work on vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro‑optical test systems, integrating and validating them to meet strict accuracy and reliability requirements on production environments.

A Master’s degree in STEM and CREO/ProE CAD skills are preferred; DoD Secret clearance and onsite work are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Education and/or Experience with project work in mechanical/electronic sub-systems packaging, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro‑optical for production testing environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
