RTX in Tucson is seeking an engineer to design and implement advanced mechanical test fixtures and environmental test stations for complex weapon systems across their lifecycle.

You will prototype, analyze, and validate systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure precision, reliability, and manufacturability while adhering to industry standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline, completed by start date.
• Experience using CAD software to generate 3D models and assemblies.
• Experience creating or maintaining hardware documentation and drawings per industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and EO environments.
• Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems integrated with state-of-the-art test technologies.
• Create 3D assemblies and 2D drawings using CAD tools.
• Ensure data packages adhere to ASME Y14 or ISO GD&T standards.
• Integrate and validate test systems to meet accuracy, repeatability, and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose issues and drive design improvements.
