Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Test Solutions Engineering team in Tucson, AZ. This hands-on role involves designing and implementing mechanical systems that integrate with state‑of‑the‑art technologies across the product lifecycle.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, apply CAD tools like CREO, and contribute to validation, troubleshooting, and improvements in a defense aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM is required.
• Experience using CAD software such as CREO.
• Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and design mechanical test systems for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro‑optical environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
• Develop mechanical solutions supporting the full product lifecycle from development to sustainment.
• Use CAD tools to create detailed design drawings and packages.
