Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an Engineer I or II, Mechanical, to join our North Haven, CT team (remote-friendly). You will design low and medium voltage switchgear enclosures and related assemblies, collaborating with cross-functional teams on project delivery.

You have a 4-year mechanical degree, 1–2 years design experience, and willingness to travel up to 20–30% monthly. The role offers a diverse project portfolio, opportunity to influence standards, and a comprehensive Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

• 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Design, preferably in electromechanical field.
• Must be able to travel up to 20-30% (3-6 days) per month as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
• Create designs specific to low voltage & medium voltage switchgear or Switchboard assemblies/systems and related equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering and plant teams to develop solutions within project scope.
• Develop Bills of Material based on new product design requirements.
• Create engineering reports/submittals addressing the project needs.
• Perform site visits to collect data for new developments when needed.
• Understand company processes and applicable codes and standards.
• Incorporate digital footprint into new solutions Services will offer.
