Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) in Tupelo, MS is seeking a Quality Engineer responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining quality assurance programs on mid-size projects. You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place and interpret government regulations.

Responsibilities include analyzing reliability, driving design/process changes, and performing inspections and audits.

Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related discipline and five or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or three or more years with a master's degree.
Ability to apply a sound understanding of inspection methods and have good knowledge of computer operations and applications.
Experience related to Manufacturing, Fabrication, Complex Machined components, GD&T; ISO 9001, AS9100, and related quality standards is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyzes design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.
Creates or recommends design or manufacturing process changes to improve products and reduce costs.
Implements methods for inspecting, testing and evaluating precision of products and equipment.
Audits quality systems and coordinates corrective actions.
