Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a QA leader to oversee the planning, management, and technical performance of a comprehensive QA program. The role ensures compliance with customer/product standards and governmental regulations, driving quality and cost objectives across projects.

With a focus on ISO-9000/AS9100 quality systems, the candidate will lead teams, conduct audits, review engineering designs for quality requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering or related technical field with eleven or more years of progressively complex QA experience.
• Detailed knowledge of QA principles, concepts, theories, regulations and practices; extensive knowledge of QA systems like ISO 9000 and AS9100.
• Demonstrated leadership/management skills, including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet deadlines and milestones.
• QA experience in Space Systems environment is highly desired.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a minimum DOD “secret” level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned QA programs/projects and monitor quality management policies and standards.
• Develop and implement standards and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products.
• Design and analyze inspection processes; conduct QA tests and statistical analysis to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate safety and environmental compliance reviews.
• Lead QA activities to achieve quality and financial objectives.
• Align QA programs with corporate audit programs and corrective action systems.
