Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to evaluate a wide range of parts, tooling, and materials under formal quality standards. You will ensure conformance to military, aerospace, and industry specifications and prepare detailed inspection reports for engineers and customers.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree, trade school certificate, military training, or equivalent in quality inspections.
• Three or more years of progressive experience in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical inspection.
• Proficiency reading engineering drawings and performing computations.
• Proficiency in IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610; J-STD-001 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts, components, assemblies and materials to ensure compliance with military standards, ASTM/ANSI, and ASME Code requirements.
• Prepare electronic and hard-copy inspection reports and notify project engineers.
• May observe testing and provide oversight to verify compliance with requirements.
• Use hand gages and automated gaging in daily activities.
• Utilize SAP systems to support Quality Department inspection activities.
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports per SAE AS9102.
