Job summary

Marvin Engineering Co. in Inglewood, CA is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to perform thorough GD&T-based inspections and document findings in SAP. The role supports manufacturing with first‑piece validations, fastener torque checks, and collaboration across QC, receiving and in‑process inspection teams.

The position is 100% onsite with occasional travel up to 25% to supplier facilities for source inspections, requiring strong math, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification in GD&T required and/or 3 years of basic GD&T inspection experience.
• Five years minimum experience as a QC inspector.
• Certifications in ASQ topics or college degree in engineering or technical fields is a plus.
• Completion certificates in Quality Assurance courses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections, validations and verifications of internal/external components to ensure MEC processes and contractual obligations.
• Inspect product using basic hand tools and bench inspection equipment interpreting basic GD&T.
• Review non-destructive test and supplier documentation per MEC Purchase Order.
• Generate inspection reports per MEC policy.
• Identify and segregate suspect non-conforming material and generate QN per MEC policy.
• Perform first piece validations in support of all manufacturing areas.
• Witness and validate fastener applications including torque, rivets and sealants.
• Support all QC areas including receiving and in-process inspection.
