Job summary

RIMEPRO INC. in Bakersfield is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC and plumbing construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout.

The role involves healthcare, hospitality, and large-scale commercial work with a strong five-year project pipeline. Ideal candidates have PM experience with a mechanical contractor or specialty subcontractor, strong budgeting and reading drawings/ specifications skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC or plumbing construction experience required.
• PM experience with a mechanical contractor or specialty subcontractor.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Healthcare, hospital, casino, or other large-scale commercial project experience preferred.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or similar construction software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC and/or plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, schedules, and cost control.
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and contract administration.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
• Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor material deliveries, manpower requirements, and project milestones.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

We're partnering with a well-established, employee-owned mechanical contractor that's expanding its operations in the Bakersfield area and looking to add a Project Manager to support upcoming commercial construction projects.

We're considering candidates at various project management experience levels who have a background in commercial HVAC or plumbing construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC and/or plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout


• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, schedules, and cost control


• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams


• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and contract administration

Requirements

• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, and change orders


• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contracts


• Healthcare, hospital, casino, or other large-scale commercial project experience preferred


• Experience with HCAI/OSHPD projects


• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction software preferred


• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills


• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
