Job summary

Greif is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support production by modifying existing equipment and developing new solutions. The role balances hands-on work with analytical engineering to lead regional projects and improve processes.

You will manage multiple projects, design layouts, define technical specs, and drive safety, cost efficiency, and reliability across the plant network. Strong communication with internal stakeholders and a practical problem-solving mindset are essential to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
5–7+ years of project engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Hands-on experience with set-up, troubleshooting, automation and die optimization.
Experience with new product development, trials, and material selection.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple concurrent medium-complexity projects ($2M+ each) from scope to budget.
Design basic mechanical layouts and suggest equipment/process improvements.
Draft project requirements and prepare documentation and handover packages.
Lead process improvements including automation, changeover, and lean workflows.
Coordinate with EH&S to ensure safety standards and PPE usage.
Provide technical support to maintenance for installation and repair.
