Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mission Critical Facilities Engineer to perform design and technical duties under supervision within data center projects. Open to multiple locations with a Stantec office presence for the right candidate.

You will develop basic system designs, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and contribute to deliverables while supporting project budgets and utilization goals. PE/FE or EIT is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 3 years related industry experience preferred.
• PE/FE or other professional certification preferred.
• Datacenter experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops basic system designs within own discipline under supervision of a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer; this includes the ability to offer solutions to general technical problems
• Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
• Works with the project team to prepare deliverables per the client’s scope of work
• Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests into design.
• Follows quality management process and reviews deliverables prior to QA/AC
• Assists with reviews of shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, site reports and punch lists
• Participates in engineering community activities for professional growth
• Assists the Project Engineer on project tasks
• Meets utilization goals and adheres to project budget
