Job summary

TETER Architects and Engineers seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead HVAC and plumbing design for diverse building projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and consultants to deliver high-quality, coordinated systems from design through construction.

The role requires CA PE eligibility or license, strong AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with Revit/BIM. Hybrid work and ongoing professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• PE registration in California or ability to obtain within six months.
• California Mechanical Code knowledge and compliance with Title 24 and ASHRAE standards.
• Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial or institutional buildings.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and documentation of HVAC and plumbing systems meeting client goals and codes.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and other team members.
• Guide project scope, schedules, and discipline budgets while ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Provide construction support including submittals, RFIs, and field observations.
• Mentor EITs, junior engineers, and drafters to support professional growth.
• Contribute to QA/QC reviews and continuous design improvement.
