Job summary

You will work on mechanical systems design, calculations, and building information modeling for construction and facilities management. The candidate should have 3–5 years of HVAC design experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of HVAC design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required or equivalent work experience.
  • Onsite construction experience is welcome.
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required.
  • Revit knowledge required.
  • CAD/BIM tools knowledge welcome.
  • MATLAB, VBA, Python, InDesign, IES-VE or similar tools welcome.
  • Engineering in Training Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions.
  • Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures.
  • Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
  • Manages own workload to deliver tasks on time and within budget.
  • Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete tasks.
  • Develops familiarity in mechanical systems design, including calculations and coordination.
  • Performs engineering calculations, design, and drafting tasks and produces design drawings and BIMs.
