Job summary

McKenney’s is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design of commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. You’ll interface with clients, manage scope, perform studies, load calculations, and energy modeling to deliver value-driven designs.

You will collaborate with architects and other engineers to produce robust documents and sequences of operation, while mentoring BIM staff and guiding Revit/drafter teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer license required.
• 7+ years in commercial/industrial HVAC design and project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and maintain engineering scope for projects.
• Perform load calculations and energy modeling using Trane Trace tools.
• Coordinate with architects and electrical/structural engineers.
• Review specifications and sequences of operation.
• Lead design efforts with existing building and new construction leaders.
