Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer to own and execute mechanical design for automated fulfillment center projects. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver complete installation packages for construction use.

You will lead 3D modeling, clash detection, and subsystem layouts while ensuring safety and performance standards across project phases. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).
• Experience working independently or with Amazon experience.
• Strong communication with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage complex tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer drawings and specifications into mechanical conveyor systems.
• Own 3D modeling and clash detection for project areas.
• Lead installation packages and on-site support.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated designs.
• Travel to sites for surveys and field issue resolution.
