Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to own the mechanical design of automated fulfillment center projects. You will manage subsystems from concept through installation and mentor junior engineers, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

You will collaborate with electrical, controls, and structural teams, deliver complete 3D models, and drive schedule adherence while coordinating with construction teams on-site.

Qualifications

Experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related work.
Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE).
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Own and develop subsystems for automated material handling with minimal oversight.
Coordinate with electrical, controls, and structural engineers for integrated design.
Deliver complete 3D models and manage clash detection for project areas.
Lead installation packages and field issue resolution on-site.
Mentor junior engineers and review their work for quality and standards.
