Job summary

Amazon seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to own and deliver complex automated material handling projects. You will develop sub-system layouts, specify conveyor types, and coordinate with electrical, controls, and structural engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.

You will execute mechanical deliverables, manage schedules, mentor engineers, and lead on-site installation and commissioning, driving safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and CAD software (AutoCAD/REVIT/BIM 360).
• Experience communicating with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Independent work experience or 2+ years at Amazon preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer drawings and specifications into fully functional conveyor systems.
• Own 3D modeling and clash detection management for project sub areas.
• Lead installation support and commissioning activities for projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and review work to ensure quality.
• Perform system and component calculations and ensure safety standards.
