Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Mechanical Professional Engineer I to design, analyze, and support mechanical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospitals and colleges. You’ll develop code‑compliant, constructible HVAC, hydronic, and energy system designs within defined scopes, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting permitting and procurement.

You’ll prepare calculations, drawings, and specs, maintain design documentation, and push for energy efficiency and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural or mechanical engineering.
• PE license required.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents, as applicable.
• Analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems (HVAC, hydronic, energy systems, etc.).
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications under established standards.
• Assist with detailed system configurations and control schemes with emphasis on energy savings.
• Conduct field investigations and support site visits; coordinate 3D laser scanning.
• Assist in project execution with internal teams.
• Apply engineering techniques within defined assignments.
• Work under general supervision; escalate complex problems to senior staff.
• Begin developing client interaction skills in supported setting.
